Driving Innovation & Sustainability in Coating Technology – Highlights from the VILF e.V. event with SCHLENK

VILF Bavaria x SCHLENK – Expertise, Networking & Innovation at SCHLENK in Barnsdorf

On May 8, 2025, the VILF Bavarian district group and SCHLENK Metallic Pigments GmbH hosted a specialist event in Roth. In addition to exciting presentations on effect pigments and sustainability in coating technology, participants were given exclusive insights into production during a factory tour by SCHLENK.

Program highlights included:

• Effect pigments in UV/ESH-curing systems – Michael Müller & Dr. Michael R. Bartelt
• Ultra-thin effect pigments (UTPs) – Tünde Hahn & Dr. Matthias Stöter
• Product Carbon Footprint in coating technology – Dr. Matthias Harsch (LCS Life Cycle Simulation GmbH)

After the lecture program, a joint dinner provided the perfect setting to deepen discussions and make new contacts.
